I’ve been a long time baker, but in 2012 I started getting interested in decorating cakes as well as baking them. In 2013, I completed all four Wilton Method Cake Decorating classes, which my friends and family were quite happy about (so many cakes!) I’ve also completed a course through Le Cordon Bleu, Algonquin College and several classes on Craftsy.
In 2014, I took the leap into entrepreneurship and launched my business, Indulgence Bakery, through which I offer custom cakes and also host cupcake decorating parties for children.
I love cake decorating because each cake is a new challenge, a project of it’s own with a budget, schedule and new requirements to learn about. I’ve made some pretty heavy duty spreadsheets for tracking ingredient usage and expense tracking to satisfy my love of a fancy chart.
